DIVING

Guided Dives

We offer guided dives on the Meso-American Barrier Reef by an experienced Divemaster. All our favorite dive sites are 10-15 minutes by boat and have a depth range of 30ft/10m to 130ft/40m.

PADI COURSES

PADI Discover SCUBA Diving

If you’re interested in scuba diving, but unsure if you want to enroll in a scuba certification class, Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect way to test the waters. In a very short time, you’ll learn basic scuba skills and take your first breaths underwater. Through a series of exercises that we practice in shallow water, we’ll teach you to use SCUBA gear, perform basic skills, and how to communicate underwater with hand signals. Then we’ll take you to an easy dive site to practice your new skills and enjoy the marvels of the underwater world.

Prerequisites: Minimum 10 years old, able to swim

PADI Open Water Course

The PADI Open Water course is the first step in your underwater journey. The certification allows you to dive anywhere in the world and can be completed in 3-4 days. We will teach you dive theory and you’ll practice basic water skills. Then we’ll put what you’ve learned into practice at our incredible local dive sites that are just a 5-minute boat ride away. You can complete the theory portion of this course anytime beforehand, using the PADI e-learning option, or do it in-person with us.

Prerequisites: Minimum 10 years old, able to swim

PADI Advanced Open Water Course

If you’re ready to advance your dive skills, the PADI Advanced Open Water course is for you. During this course you will get to sample the different types of diving you can do while gaining experience, building confidence, and improving your technique.    In addition to the Navigation dive and Deep dive, we highly recommend the Peak Performance Buoyancy dive to take your diving skills to the next level. You can choose the other dives, which include Fish ID, Naturalist, Search & Recovery, and Underwater Photography, to name a few. 

Prereqisites: Minimum 12 years old, PADI Open Water Diver or Equivalent Certification

Emergency First Response Course

The Emergency First Response course provides basic primary and secondary care first aid training. This class is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course and is open to non-divers too. Emergency First Response courses follow the emergency considerations and protocols as developed by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) members. Members include the American Heart Association (AHA), European Resuscitation Council (ERC), Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), New Zealand Resuscitation Council (NZRC), and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC).

PADI Rescue Diver Course

The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the more challenging but also the most rewarding. Through simulations and role plays, we will practice life-saving skills so that you’re prepared to face almost any emergency situation in diving. After, you will see the difference in your own and others’ diving.

Prerequisites: Minimum 12 years old, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent, Emergency First Response or current first aid certification

CUSTOM COURSES


Lionfish Safari

Catch, cook, conserve! Enjoy a 2 tank dive trip to hunt lionfish on the local reef. You will help aid in conservation by removing this voracious predator. After, we will show you how to prepare a delicious lionfish ceviche to reward yourself!

Prerequisites: Minimum 15 years old, SCUBA diving certification

Includes: A small presentation on lionfish, dry land pole spear training, 2 tanks and ceviche. 


Underwater Photography Course

It’s one thing to understand light and composition, but if you don’t have the dive skills, you won’t be able to make the most of your underwater camera gear.  This 1-day course begins on land with some instruction and hands-on practice, after which we’ll do a 2-tank dive trip to practice underwater skills. Then we’ll finish on land to review the photos you’ve taken. We will teach you the fundamentals of taking great underwater photographs, but we’ll also work with you to fine-tune your buoyancy, refine your trim, and practice underwater multitasking – all of which will make you a better photographer, both above and below the water. 

Prerequisites: Minimum 10 years old, SCUBA diving certification

Includes: Camera equipment rental


Underwater Photography Shoot

Want a souvenir to take home with you? How about an underwater photo shoot? Our underwater photographer will accompany you on your dive, capturing all the fun you have as well as the marine life you encounter. . 

Prerequisites: Minimum 10 years old, SCUBA diving certification

Includes: A digital photo album
